Shuangpai here I come!!!

I'm leaving in 17 days!!! I can't believe it!! I guess I should tell ya'll where it is exactly I am going to be living for 6 months. I am going to be living in the beautiful city of Shuangpai which is in the Hunan Province. Hunan is in south eastern China not quite on the coast. Its on the same latitude as Texas and the South so it will be hot and humid. Yahoo! I can work on my tan while I'm there..... or freckles. haha. Shuangpai is a small town in the southern part of Hunan.   There isn't a lot of Western influence so I will be right in the thick of China and its rich culture. I'm so excited! It will be a great opportunity to get to know the people and how they live everyday life. The down side to that is that their won't be a Burger King or Craigo's near by to satisfy by cravings or Ben and Jerry's to comfort me after a rough day. The food there will be very different but I am up to the challenge!! I love rice and noodles so I will be living off of that. Hunan is known for their very spicy food. I mean not just a little bit of Tabasco hot but burn your tongue off hot!! Yikes!! Hopefully I will be able to get used to it! I will and when I come back I will have an iron tongue that can eat any spicy food!!  I can't wait!!! It hasn't really hit me that I'm leaving the country for 6 months!! I feel so blessed that I have this wonderful opportunity to live in China. I have such a deep love for China and its people. Having two adopted sister has been a huge part of why I have that love and also why I am going there. I'm way excited!! If you can't already tell. Well, I best be off. But I will keep ya'll posted! I will also put up some pictures of Shuangpai and of the surrounding area.
